Welcome to Meoncross School
A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.
Excellent Academics
We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.
We Are Meoncross
We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.
At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.
We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.
“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

As we get ready to welcome pupils back for the Summer Term, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate the winners of last term’s House Cup… Dreadnought! 🏆
A huge congratulations to everyone in Dreadnought for their fantastic efforts — and a big well done to Victory, Invincible, and Warrior too! 👏
The House system continues to be a brilliant way to inspire teamwork, determination, and school spirit. Every point earned is a reflection of pupils striving to be their very best.

Year 3 and 4 recently had a wonderful morning on the beach! 🏖
They set off on a treasure hunt along the shore, discovering all sorts of interesting finds. 🐚🌊
With their beach treasures in hand, they got super creative and made some amazing beach art with shells, stones and other beach treasure. 🎨
They also took a moment to soak in the fresh sea breeze and appreciate how lucky we are to have the beach just a stone’s throw away from Meoncross ⛅♥

Before breaking up for Easter, the children in KS1 and Reception took a lovely walk to Stubbington Library for a fun and educational visit. 📚☀
They listened to a selection of spring-themed stories and took part in an exciting picture hunt around the library, spotting images related to Spring and Easter.🐰💐
They also had the chance to browse the shelves, choose books that caught their interest, and enjoy sharing them with their friends. 📖❤
After the library visit, everyone headed to the park for a sunny picnic. It was a joyful trip filled with stories, laughter, and fresh air! 🌤

A Visit to Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service ⭐🌊
Our Reception children have been learning all about people who help us, and what better way to bring that learning to life than with a visit to the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (@gafirslifeboat) at Stokes Bay!
The children were warmly welcomed by Keith and Joyce, who gave them a fantastic tour of the lifeboat station. They learned all about the vital role the Coastguards play in keeping people safe at sea and along the coast. 🚨🏖
The children were especially excited to get up close to the different lifeboats and rescue vehicles. Their favourite was the huge tractor that pulls the lifeboat into the water.
They also got to see the Coastguard uniforms, explore the viewing platform, and most importantly, learn about how to stay safe at the beach and near the water. ⛵
It was a fun, engaging, and educational trip, and we’re so grateful to Keith and Joyce for taking the time to share their knowledge with us once again. 🤩
‼The Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service provides essential emergency cover across the Eastern Solent and Portsmouth Harbour. If you`d like to learn more, visit their Emergency Services Open Day on Sunday 20th July, 11:00am – 4:00pm!
