Welcome to Meoncross School

A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.

We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.

Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

Excellent Academics

We were ranked 10th nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2023, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.

Holistic Approach

Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

We Are Meoncross

We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.

The best school for me...

At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.

We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.

“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

The Times Parent Power Schools Guide 2023

Meoncross School was ranked 10th in The Times Parent Power Schools Guide in 2023. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.

We were placed 10th in the ‘Top fee paying schools with no sixth form’ category. Only the top 1,600 schools across the country feature in the guide, which was compiled based on examination results - a huge accolade for us at Meoncross.

📸 Year 3 Beach Art and Remembrance Day Reflection 🌊🎨

Last week, our Year 3 pupils had a memorable afternoon at the beach! Joined by their parents for a creative and meaningful experience, together they explored the shore and gathered materials to craft unique beach art inspired by nature ✨

Part of the day was also taken to pause and reflect, remembering the importance of those who have served and sacrificed. The beach art allowed the children to express themselves and find creative and thoughtful ways to honour the meaning of the day.

Thank you to all the parents who joined us and to our Year 3s for bringing such respect and creativity to this special day 🌹❤️

📸✨Take a look at what Nursery and Reception have been up to today for Children in Need!

From activities such as arts and crafts, biscuit decorating, creating their own Pudsey ears, and light box activities, everyone had so much fun. 🎨😄

They also created their very own 'soctopus' from odd socks for anti-bullying week, learning all about kindness and respect. 🧦🐙

Odd Socks Day encourages us to celebrate what makes us different, and this morning as a school we honoured this by writing a message in odd socks! Take a look at how incredible it tuned out. Well done everyone 🧦✨

Meet our Head

I hope it will be clear to you how important our values are to us as a community; we genuinely strive to live by them seeing ourselves as a family where optimism and kindness stand shoulder to shoulder with adventurous opportunities and high academic achievement.

Just like any family, we know that every child has their strengths and their struggles, and we encourage and support them all, whilst genuinely appreciating and understanding the individuals they are.

Only by getting this mix right, can we hope to ensure that all our pupils leave Meoncross ready to flourish in this constantly evolving world of ours.
