A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

Meoncross School was ranked 21st in The Times Parent Power Schools Guide for 2025. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.
We have placed 21st in the ‘Top independent secondary schools with no sixth forms’ category. The Guide is compiled based on examination results.

This week, our Early Years` children had an absolute blast participating in a thrilling pancake race! With pancakes in hand, they dashed one by one, flipping their way to the finish line.

🔍 Meoncross Forensic Science Day 👩🔬👨🔬
Year 6 pupils discovered a shocking crime scene and had to work together as a team to solve the mystery! 🕵️♀️ They gathered evidence, solved clues, interviewed suspects, and crafted evidence boards to present their findings and theories.
After developing their theories, they faced the jury in court, each making a compelling case for why one of the suspects was guilty. 👩⚖️⚖️
The tension was high as the murderer revealed themselves, along with the motive behind the crime. 🔎

We have an exciting opportunity for a PE Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our fantastic team! ⭐
The candidate must be an enthusiastic and inspiring Physical Education Teacher. They must be able to teach a wide range of sports, to students from Nursery to Year 11, as well as attend after school fixtures.
📣This is a part-time 0.7 FTE role, working over 5 days acting as a Maternity Cover for a fixed term until 31 December 2025. The proposed start date is late April 2025.

Last week in Food Technology, Year 7 had the exciting opportunity to make their own pancakes in preparation for today! They created delicious pancakes using banana and oats, carefully following the recipe and mastering the art of the perfect flip. 🍽
