A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

We were ranked 10th nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2026, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

Arthur Year 9 has spent three weeks on trial with @eastleighfcacad to join their Under 14 Academy squad and he has received confirmation that he has been successfully selected to join the Eastleigh FC Academy for the 2026–2027 season. 👏⚽️
Everyone at Meoncross is super proud of him and this success....we wish him all the best for the season ahead.

Year 7 Calshot Trip Report (by Mr Russell)
“Year 7 pupils enjoyed a fantastic day at Calshot Activities Centre, taking part in a range of exciting challenges including Climbing, Archery and AeroTrek.
The trip was designed not only to provide fun and adventure, but also to support our pupils as they continue their transition into Upper School. Throughout the day, pupils worked together, encouraged one another, stepped out of their comfort zones, and built new friendships and connections across the year group. It was wonderful to see so many pupils’ demonstrating resilience, teamwork and confidence while creating shared experiences and memories that we hope will stay with them for years to come.
We were incredibly proud of the way our Year 7 pupils conducted themselves throughout the day. Their behaviour, enthusiasm and positive attitudes were exceptional from start to finish. In fact, the instructors at Calshot commented that they were the best group they had ever worked with - praise that every pupil should be extremely proud of.
A huge thank you must go to Mr Clarke, Miss Ansen and Miss Blakey for their enthusiasm, support and energy throughout the day. Their encouragement helped make the trip such a success and ensured that all pupils were able to fully enjoy the experience.
As we reached the end of their first half term at Meoncross Upper School, this trip provided a fitting reminder of how far our Year 7 pupils have already come. Starting a new school can be daunting, but they have embraced every opportunity, settled into school life brilliantly and become an increasingly connected and supportive year group.
We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far and look forward to seeing you continue to grow, flourish and make wonderful memories together throughout the rest of the year.”

~ Expansive Opportunities ~
Over three unforgettable days in Ypres, our Year 10 and 11 GCSE History pupils stepped beyond the classroom to experience the realities of the First World War.
From exploring the trenches at Sanctuary Wood and walking the route towards Hill 62, to poetry readings at key historic sites, pupils gained a powerful insight into the human stories behind the conflict.
Personal family connections made the trip especially poignant, with several pupils paying tribute to relatives who served during the war. The visit concluded with the moving Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, where two pupils laid a wreath on behalf of the Meoncross community.
Throughout the trip, our pupils demonstrated exceptional maturity, empathy and respect, making us incredibly proud.

🌊 Exploring Our Ever-Changing Coastline! ☀️
“Best outdoor learning beach morning - can we stay all day?”Nina, Yr4
What a fantastic morning of fieldwork for our geographers as they brought classroom learning to life on the coast.
Investigating the theme of erosion and deposition, pupils explored low-lying cliffs, examined the banks formed by wave action, and witnessed an impressive demonstration of longshore drift on the beach.
Through sketches, observations and discussion, they developed a deeper understanding of the dynamic processes that continually shape our coastline.
Pupils also considered the importance of coastal management, comparing older, crumbling sea defences with newer, higher structures designed to protect vulnerable coastlines for the future.
With glorious weather, plenty of curiosity and even time to build a sandcastle, it was a memorable and enriching morning of hands-on geographical discovery. 🌊🏖️📚

💙 Simon Says… come together for a wonderful cause!
Meoncross joined 40 schools across Hampshire for Hampshire’s Biggest Game of Simon Says, celebrating 25 years of Simon Says Child Bereavement Support.
Our pupils had a wonderful time—even getting the chance to freestyle and show off their air guitar skills! 🎸
Together, our school community raised over £500 to help children and young people facing bereavement. Thank you to our pupils, staff and families for your generosity and enthusiasm! 👏
