Prioritising the wellbeing of all our pupils
At Meoncross, we put as much emphasis on the wellbeing of our pupils, as we do their academic achievement. We know children will not achieve their best academically unless they are happy; therefore we put significant effort into ensuring all our pupils are well cared for, emotionally, and academically.
This emotional happiness will allow pupils to be positively engaged and focused in lessons, as well as create enthusiasm around the pursuit of other opportunities Meoncross has to offer.
All-round pastoral support
We feel our dedicated and caring approach towards our school community sets us apart; as our holistic ethos means our pupils not only achieve their absolute best in terms of results but that they are also leaving Meoncross as well rounded, capable and compassionate individuals, ready to engage with the broader world at college and beyond positively.
In order to achieve this, in the Upper School we have appointed an Assistant Head (Pastoral) who is a long standing, a highly respected and experienced member of staff who knows our pupils well and is available to them if and when any problems should arise.
This essential position is then supported by the Form Tutors and Assistant Form Tutors, who also oversee the pastoral care of their tutees, building positive working relationships as they positively interact and engage with their tutees on a daily basis.
